William "Frenchy" E. Latour, 69, of East Syracuse passed away on Sunday. For over 30 years, Bill was a self-employed carpenter. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and member of VFW Post 9596. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, camping and golf.
Survivors include his wife, of 22 years the former Carol Chimber; his children, Tonya, Bill and Eddie Latour; grandchildren, Billy, Brittanie and Maddex; step-sons, Shane (Maria) Chimber, and their children, Tommy, Tristan, Tanner and Riley; Eric (Shaketta) Chimber; siblings, Gale Santillan and Greg Markoski; nieces and nephews and his furry companions, Booker, Buddy, Emme and Addie.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Services, with Military Honors, will follow at 7 pm.
Contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the SPCA.
